Teutonic Rauchwein Riesling 750mL
Rauchwein Riesling - Provisions Exclusive!!
The fruit for this Riesling came from Pear Blossom Vineyard in the Columbia Gorge (WA). It was exposed to some summer fires and slightly tainted with smoke. The winemakers felt the smoke was an attribute and embraced the smokiness and called it "Rauchwein" which means "Smoke Wine." You can pick it up in the finish, like a touch of Mezcal. It's off-dry in style. 11.88% abv
About Teutonic Wine Company:
Beautiful & expressive wines by way of minimal intervention winemaking that are crafted in Oregon's esteemed Willamette Valley. With a passion for the wines of the Mosel Valley, Barnaby Tuttle cultivates grapes from colder sites, higher elevation, dry-farmed vines that are typically 30 years or older and with a focus on Germanic varieties. Teutonic Wine Company produces roughly 6,000 cases of wine each year and mostly these wines are single variety bottlings from single vineyard sights. Teutonic wines are a magical combination of Oregon terroir with the striking personality of Germay's Mosel Valley.
