10/10 Cheese Class: Neal's Yard Dairy
Wednesday October 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
At Provisions, we communicate frequently with our friends at Neal’s Yard Dairy to discuss the finer details of each batch. After selecting wheels, it takes about six weeks for them to make their way to us.
This tasting class will focus on our current available offering of Neal’s Yard -selected cheeses. A variety of cheeses will be sampled as we discuss the importance of preserving farmhouse cheesemaking in the UK and sip some British cider* as well!
Neal's Yard Dairy was founded by Randolph Hodgson in the early 1980’s. Hodgson was searching the countryside to find farmhouse cheesemakers to supply the first shop. Through his dedication and passion for traditional cheesemaking, cheeses from all over the UK and Ireland found success and stability in their partnership with Hodgson. The current team at Neal’s Yard works with 40 cheesemakers to select wheels, some of which are sent to cheese shops like ours. We are very pleased to support a mission like Neal’s Yard Dairy and all the cheesemakers they represent.
We look forward to tasting through the lineup with you!
