Wine 101: Choosing, Serving and Enjoying Wine
When you walk into a wine store, you can be faced with a thousand different options, and the sky's the limit on price. You know that wine has a lot of cultural weight, but with so many options, how do you know what to pick? How much do you need to spend for a "good bottle?" And once you've bought it, should you keep it in the fridge, or can you leave it on the counter? And does it really improve with age?
If you find it challenging to shop for wine and know what you're getting, you're not alone. This Wine 101 class is designed to give you some basic tips that will help walk you through the process of serving wine, from the questions you ask at the shop, to what kind of glass you pour it into.
This introductory-level class is a great way to learn the basics of wine. Small bites for pairing will be provided, but we encourage you to stop by the cheese counter beforehand if you'd like a supplementary snack.
